The wheel button creates a new instance on the current workspace while Ctrl-Click creates a new instance on a new workspace. This extension inverts the GNOME behavior.

Yep, I made a merge request on his gitorious account 13 days ago, I sent him a private message and posted a comment on the extension page. I'd be glad to remove my extension once he merged my branch, but I doubt he'll do it, he hasn't touched his git branch since January the 4th.
