Are there any other extensions which provide this simple function? You should use a terminal icon at least

No. There is one, that adds a entry to the UserMenu, but it only opens the last recent terminal and does not create a new one. It uses a terminal icon. See: icon_name: 'utilities-terminal' Which can be found at: /usr/share/icons/gnome/scalable/apps/utilities-terminal-symbolic.svg

Well, there is https://extensions.gnome.org/extension/262/terminal/ but i had not found it, because it is not compatible with my "Current Version". (Actually uses the same icon as my extension)
