This is a fork of "Poppy Menu" that I have modified adding some functions and decorations to make the menu more similar to the macOS menu in its Big Sur version and thus bring it to Gnome as an extension in the Shell.
Please remove the `.git` directory for your next upload. It would also be wise to change the gettext domain from "frippery-applications-menu" to prevent conflicting with another extension.
Thanks, @andyholmes, I'll keep your recommendations in mind, it's my first time and I completely forgot to delete the "git" folder. Regarding the "gettext domain" I did not check it before because it is the folder that translates to different languages, again, it is my first time experimenting with Gnome extensions, I will be cleaner in future updates, thanks for the recommendations. And I have a couple questions, the first is: What is the procedure for updates? and the second one has to do with the way the extensions are published, I made a fork of two extensions, the second one is: "Big Sur Status Area" but, due to lack of time I had not been able to upload both extensions, my surprise was when I tried to publish "Big Sur Status Area" someone else, "Nickolas974", had already put my modification of the extension without changing the name and claiming authorship. How do you review each extension to be approved and published? Because that person didn't have the right to upload my fork of the extension, I have my github page where I take my documentation, and how is it possible that someone else just takes someone else's work and uploads it as if nothing happened? I await your response and thanks in advance, @andyholmes.
> What is the procedure for updates? Just increment the `version` field in `metadata.json` and upload the Zip at https://extensions.gnome.org/upload/ > How do you review each extension to be approved and published? Because that person didn't have the right to upload my fork of the extension, I have my github page where I take my documentation, and how is it possible that someone else just takes someone else's work and uploads it as if nothing happened? Our review process is detailed on the GNOME Wiki (https://wiki.gnome.org/Projects/GnomeShell/Extensions/Review). All extensions are derivative works of GNOME Shell and must be licensed under GPLv2-or-later, so another person is entirely within their rights to distribute your work (even though it might be rude). Your best option in this case is to contact the user "Nickolas974" to try and work something out. If they agree, you can request to have the ownership transferred at https://gitlab.gnome.org/Infrastructure/extensions-web
