You have to check whether the "empathy" is existed before run Util.spawn(['empathy']);
Er, that's kind of the point. I'm running the empathy command to open up a roster. The problem this addresses is that once the empathy roster is closed, the only way to bring it back is to click on the empathy app in the shell, which is pretty inconvenient. If you know of a cleaner way to open up the empathy roster, I'd be delighted to know it.

It seems a bug of empathy to me. May be you misunderstand my first review.
