It's perhaps easier to review the typescript sources at https://github.com/swsnr/gnome-shell-extension-picture-of-the-day/ The build's reproducible: "npm ci && make dist-repro" will give you a ZIP file under "dist/" which should be bit by bit identical to the one I uploaded here (which is the one attached to the release), in case you'd like to verify that this extension is indeed build from that source repo.
