Smart Tiling brings fast, keyboard-driven window snapping to GNOME. Use Super + Arrow Keys to snap the focused window to either half of the screen, or combine directions to tile it into a corner. Windows snap on the monitor they are on. Features: • Keyboard tiling: Super + Left/Right snaps a window to a half; add Up/Down to move it to a quarter. • Auto tiling (optional): up to four windows per workspace are arranged automatically into halves and quarters. When a window opens, the existing layout is split to make room. When one closes or is minimized, its neighbors expand to fill the space. • Top bar indicator: click the grid icon in the top bar to turn auto tiling on or off. The icon is highlighted while auto tiling is active. • Adjustable gaps: set the space between tiled windows (default: 8 px). • Custom shortcuts: change any of the four movement shortcuts in the preferences, or reset them to their defaults. • Translated preferences: available in English, Portuguese and Spanish.
