As mentioned before, this code has unnecessary code generated by AI: [EGO Review Guidelines: AI](https://gjs.guide/extensions/review-guidelines/review-guidelines.html#extensions-must-not-be-ai-generated)
I can agree yes this widget was in part done with AI since i have rudamentary knowledge in Javascript since that is not my domain. But i have thoroughly tested the extension since it is something i am trying to implement that is lacking in base gnome but present in all my other devices and i really want to see in gnome in future as part of their wellbeing tools since hearing loss is a very serious issue.
