Web results directly in system search — a glance, not a browser. Type in the GNOME overview and the engine's own results page renders right there in the search list: read it, scroll it, click into a result without ever leaving the overview. It is built for the search you would rather not open a browser for — check a fact, read the first paragraph, carry on with what you were doing. It is not a browser and is not trying to become one: no address bar, no tabs, no forward button, no history, no downloads. When you want the actual web, press Enter and your default browser takes over, the one you already use with your logins and your extensions. The page is rendered by a separate process (GNOME Shell cannot host WebKit) and the query goes to the engine you pick in the settings — DuckDuckGo or Google — and to no one else. Requires the WebKit2 4.1 GJS typelib: gir1.2-webkit2-4.1 on Debian and Ubuntu, webkit2gtk4.1 on Fedora.
Note: Binary files aren't shown on the web site. To see all files, please download the extension zipfile.
