This extension is the user interface for a separately installed, GPL-3.0-or-later Python companion backend. The extension ZIP contains GJS frontend code and assets only. The companion is distributed in the complete GitHub release and is installed explicitly by the user. It isolates GTK 3/GdkPixbuf/Pillow image processing from GTK 4 preferences and GNOME Shell. Requests use fixed argument arrays and JSON stdin; read requests can be cancelled, while writes finish safely and are reaped. The user-level timer/path units operate independently and have visible controls in Preferences. The supported shell-version is ["51"], tested on GNOME Shell 51.0. GNOME 51 was released on September 16, 2026: https://release.gnome.org/51/ . Please review the experimental EGO-M-004 finding as a possible false positive. A revised local candidate ZIP excludes schemas/gschemas.compiled and retains the schema XML. Strict compilation remains a local build check. Installation and automatic schema compilation are verified using the official gnome-extensions tool in an isolated user directory.
