Flash-free screenshots for the Kapture app on GNOME Wayland. On Wayland, apps normally take screenshots through the desktop portal, which flashes the screen and asks for permission. With this helper, your Kapture capture shortcut takes the screenshot instantly with no flash. Select a region, then annotate it with arrows, highlights, text, numbered steps and pixelation, and copy, save or pin it. How it works: • The extension owns your capture shortcut, so a screenshot happens only when you press it. • The image is saved to a private folder in your cache (~/.cache/kapture/shots) and opened in Kapture. • It exposes no D-Bus API, so no other program can take screenshots through it. • If Kapture isn't installed, the extension does nothing and doesn't take any shortcut. Change the shortcut in Kapture's Settings (default Ctrl+Shift+S). The change applies immediately.
