Review of "Top Edge Window Switcher" version 1

Details Page Preview

Scroll at the top edge of any monitor to cycle through the windows that fill that monitor. To use it: push the mouse pointer to the very top of a monitor — the screen edge stops it there — and scroll. On the primary monitor you can scroll anywhere on the top bar. Each monitor keeps its own list, so scrolling at the top of your left screen switches the windows on your left screen and nothing else. On the primary monitor the trigger is the top bar itself; on the others it is an invisible 1-pixel strip at the same height, which keeps working even over a fullscreen window. * Cycles maximized and fullscreen windows, each configurable * Most-recently-used order, frozen for the duration of a scroll, so repeated scrolling walks the list instead of flipping between two windows * Optional on-screen label naming the window you land on * Minimized windows can stay in the cycle, so scrolling brings them back * Choose which monitors are active, require a modifier key, or switch to a stable order — 14 settings in total Note: the trigger strip sits in the shell's input region, so clicks in its one-pixel band do not reach the application. The strip hands primary-button presses back by starting a window drag, so dragging a window from the top edge still works.
