Shows TheGitAI's cursor, screen glow and 'using your computer' banner while the agent works in your apps, and gives the local TheGitAI helper window positions, window screenshots and input. Esc takes control back. Also runs on TheGitAI's own background screen, which the helper shows in a window with a Stop button.

This extension provides visual indicator overlays (status pill, screen border glow, custom cursor marker) and basic window management helpers used by TheGitAI's local CLI desktop integration on Wayland and X11. Important context for testing: 1. No top-panel icon or settings dialog: The extension exposes a session D-Bus interface (org.gnome.Shell.Extensions.TheGitAIComputerControl) rather than adding panel buttons or user preferences. 2. How to test basic functionality without our companion CLI: Once the extension is enabled, you can verify it responds over session D-Bus using: # Check extension is registered and active gdbus call --session \ --dest org.gnome.Shell \ --object-path /org/gnome/Shell/Extensions/TheGitAIComputerControl \ --method org.gnome.Shell.Extensions.TheGitAIComputerControl.Ping 3. Clean teardown: All timers, D-Bus registrations, and UI actors are tracked and cleaned up on disable().
