Start drawing on your GNOME desktop with Super+Alt+D. As of Dec 2024 we are in the process of getting the latest version uploaded here on GNOME Extensions. For now, you can install the extension for GNOME v47 through v40 (and v3.xx) here: https://github.com/daveprowse/DrawOnYourScreen3

Please make sure to recompile your schemas after changing them (otherwise gsettings won't be happy) Other than that, looks good!
Yet the schema was recompiled. Maybe .compiled files, like .mo files, just don't appear in the diff section because you cannot read them.
