Hi again — this is a reworked resubmission of "Fibocom L850 LTE Toggle" (review #72015), addressing both points from last time. **No more `sudo`/`pkexec`.** The extension no longer runs any privileged command itself. All privileged work now lives in a small **system D-Bus service** (`org.fibocom.l850`) that ships with the project; the extension is a pure client, talking to it via `Gio.DBus.system`: - `Status()` — read-only signal / operator / RAT info for the toggle; - `SetEnabled(bool)` — bring the `wwan0` link up or down; - `SetApn(string)` — change the APN, authorised **by the service** against the polkit action `org.fibocom.l850.set-apn`, so a normal password dialog appears. There is no `Gio.Subprocess`, `sudo` or `pkexec` anywhere in the extension. It runs code only in `enable()`/`disable()`, does no eval and makes no network calls. **On the AI-generated rule you raised:** you said I could resubmit if I understand the code and can maintain it — thank you for that. To be upfront, I built this with AI assistance. But this is my own hardware (a Fibocom L850-GL / Intel XMM7360, which has no ModemManager support on Linux), I use it every day, I tested every path on the real device, and I found and fixed several real bugs along the way — the D-Bus rewrite above is one example. I understand and maintain the code and I'm not submitting something I can't stand behind. The extension depends on that system service being installed from the project's repo (alongside the out-of-tree `xmm7360-pci` driver this modem requires); the extension itself is only the desktop front-end. Full source — extension, daemon, D-Bus and polkit policy, install script — is here: https://github.com/michaelruck/fibocom-l850-gnome-lte Thanks for taking another look.
