control your hp printers by calling the device manager hp-toolbox, also some useful links Motivation: the hp-systray doesn't work reliably under gnome shell you need to have installed hplip in order to use this Choice of using a printer icon or a hp_logo.png if it's installed in the same place as mine on Ubuntu you could use symbolic links to fake the path.

you don't need to distribute your build files
The code looks fine. There are two other issues 1. please make it abundantly clear in the description what exactly is the dependency 2. The extension name could be mistaken for an offical and endorsed part of Hplip, which is probably isn't. The Name must be changed in a manner that the name "Hplip" is used in a descriptive manner. For example "alternate menu for Hplip" or something to that end.
Ok I prepared to make those changes how do I update the plugin do I submit it again ??
do I change the uuid ??
The uuid is not really visible outside so that one is okay. You can just change the name in the metadata-file and re-upload. If the source hasn't changed, it won't even create a new version and we're still in this discussion "thread". So do that and reply here so that we can continue the process. Thank you for your understanding
I did fix a few details so the code has changed, basically to support a choice of 2 icons so it's a new version sorry, I have changed the name, and the settings, and I am done for now
