Slides every window on the active workspace out towards its nearest screen edge, revealing the desktop, and slides them back on the next toggle. Maximized windows keep their maximize state and their size. Toggle it with the keyboard shortcut (Super+D by default), or from any application over the session bus: gdbus call --session --dest org.pears.ShowDesktopOnClick --object-path /org/pears/ShowDesktopOnClick --method org.pears.ShowDesktopOnClick.Toggle Clicking the empty desktop works too when Desktop Icons NG is patched with the small patch published in the project repository.
