I've removed the redundant try-catch wrappers, guards, schema duplication, and repeated preference code. I have also removed the non runtime build files present in the last submission. If you need me to make any more changes or explain some part of the code, please let me know. While I do use AI assistant to speed up development, I am a professional software engineer and I can fully explain the code if you need me to. I was perhaps too hasty with merging a contributor's commit who wanted to add a new feature to the extension. Going forward, I will be more careful.
