This is going to break if you use g-tweak-tool at the same time, and anyway the utility seems questionable at least. Not a good reason to reject...

yes, changing the icons via tweak will not update the status in this switch, but it should not break. the extension is for people, who have a desktop-icon-chaos (like me) to switch on/off with one click in the panel...
