I can approve this one but setting 'app-picker-layout' as default doesn't change anything in app picker view (tested on Ubuntu 21.04). Do you see any reordering there?
The reordering only takes effect after the shell is reloaded. I plan on finding a way around this in future, but the effects take place after logging in and out or after reloading the shell. Thanks
Do you happen to know a way around this? To either refresh the app grid without a reload of the shell, or have the 'app-picker-layout' take effect immediately?
I approved this one but I think you can find the solution in appDisplay: https://gitlab.gnome.org/GNOME/gnome-shell/-/blob/master/js/ui/appDisplay.js btw, if you have questions related to the extensions we are at: https://matrix.to/#/#extensions:gnome.org
Alright, thanks a ton
