Change the opacity of windows by compiz-style shortcut Alt+scroll. You can customize hotkey in Preference page if Alt key doesn't work.

Once you send it for review, it can only be approved or rejected. You can inactive an approved version if want (in your extension page).
Really hope Gnome can update this extension reviewing system a little bit...
