Please remove utils.js for the next version. No need to get settings by custom utils. You have that in ExtensionUtils: const ExtensionUtils = imports.misc.extensionUtils; let settings = ExtensionUtils.getSettings(); And also remove Makefile for the next version: https://wiki.gnome.org/Projects/GnomeShell/Extensions/Review#Don.27t_include_unecessary_files
