I found a bug after I submitted it. As there are no docs/guidelines for submission to tell me otherwise it seemed like the thing to do. Some doc/guidelines would be nice for anything really. The only "official" docs for extensions are 1 page at the wiki and it's not very helpful. If you're going to continue to push off functionality to 3rd party extension devs some REAL documentation would be helpful maybe even an API and some separation. Debugging what amounts to a monkey patch is a pain.
If there was a bug then self rejecting is fine. Many people self reject a previous working version to get the newer one approved faster. As an extension Dev myself I feel you. But I am just doing reviews and have little to no influence on anything the shell team does or doesn't do.
