Review of "Dash to Panel" version 24

Details Page Preview

An icon taskbar for the Gnome Shell. This extension moves the dash into the gnome main panel so that the application launchers and system tray are combined into a single panel, similar to that found in KDE Plasma and Windows 7+. A separate dock is no longer needed for easy access to running and favorited applications. For a more traditional experience, you may also want to use Tweak Tool to enable Windows > Titlebar Buttons > Minimize & Maximize. For the best support, please report any issues on Github. Dash-to-panel is developed and maintained by @jderose9 and @charlesg99.

Hi, version 24 of your extension has been reviewed, however in order to distribute it from extensions.gnome.org the integrated update mechanism must be removed. We understand that the review process can sometimes take awhile, however after conferring with other GNOME developers it was agreed that distributing an extension that can then download and install unreviewed versions of itself subverts the review process. We realize that your intention here is not malicious, and of course you are welcome to distribute a version elsewhere with an updater, but submissions to extensions.gnome.org should not include this. I have reviewed the rest of the extension and will be here all day, so I can approve a new version as soon as I get a notified.

No problem. Thanks for the detailed response, @andyholmes. I have submitted a new build, v25 without the self-updating feature. We will refactor in the future so the Makefile can generate a build with and without the update feature.

Okay, I approved v25. Thanks for being understanding :)
