Review of "Dash to Panel" version 69

Details Page Preview

An icon taskbar for the Gnome Shell. This extension moves the dash into the gnome main panel so that the application launchers and system tray are combined into a single panel, similar to that found in KDE Plasma and Windows 7+. A separate dock is no longer needed for easy access to running and favorited applications. For a more traditional experience, you may also want to use Tweak Tool to enable Windows > Titlebar Buttons > Minimize & Maximize. For the best support, please report any issues on Github. Dash-to-panel is developed and maintained by @jderose9 and @charlesg99.

Sorry about this confusing release.... this is targeting Gnome 40 only, so the changes here aren't accurate. Here is the actual change on branch "gnome-40": https://github.com/home-sweet-gnome/dash-to-panel/commit/6e7dcdc975265b840e59fbd60e9f8623835242ed Also, I did some tests about it and it seems that it should work, but to make sure I'll ask you. I tried to set version 44.1 in my metadata but it got changed to 69 when uploading here. Since this is only targeting the older Gnome 40 version in the metadata, it won't update people on version 47-48 even if the extension version is higher, correct? Just don't wan't to break everyone extensions :) Thanks!

I used version 44 for the diff, and everything looks good. You didn't break anything! since EGO supports multi-versioning, only users on GNOME Shell 40 will get this package. and `version` is EGO's internal and it is a auto incrementing field. You can use `version-name` if you want to have your own version number: [Anatomy of an Extension: version-name](https://gjs.guide/extensions/overview/anatomy.html#version-name) Some extensions using `version-name`. If you want to see how it looks on EGO, look at the *Versions* section of this page: [AATWS (Advanced Alt-Tab Window Switcher)](https://extensions.gnome.org/extension/4412/advanced-alttab-window-switcher/)
